UAAA AWARDS NIGHT 2021!
The inaugural UAAA awards night happened online Wednesday 29 September and saw 4 worthy winners receive awards. Mark Willcocks and Craig Hallam, both founding members of the UAAA, were guest speakers and provided an insightful opening to the ceremony.
Well done to all 19 nominees - keep up the great work and we hope to see again next year, and congratulations to our winners:
SAFETY LEADERSHIP AWARD - DYLAN CARSTAIRS
RISING STAR AWARD - LACHLAN MACPHERSON
UTILITY ARBORIST AWARD - HEATH FREWIN
LIFETIME CONTRIBUTION AWARD - DALE ENERSON
The UAAA awards night was made possible thanks to the inspiration and dedication of Russell Warner, ETS, and the UAAA committee. These awards aim to recognise those who have made a valuable contribution to the utility vegetation management industry (UVM) over the past year. Next year we may see the awards take place in May, as part of the Arb Aus national conference program.
Anyone associated with the Australian UVM industry is eligible, e.g., UVM trainers, consultants, and vegetation and utility employees. There are four awards open for nominations, i.e., Utility Arboriculture Award, Safety Leadership Award, Rising Star Award and Education Award. For details about the 2022 awards, join the UAAA, check this website for details, or follow Arb Aus on social media
