The Bark

THE BARK IS GOING DIGITAL!

Yes, our member publication The Bark™ will be available digitally by September 2020, ready for our spring issue!

We are very excited to deliver The Bark in digital format, with full colour and helpful links, giving you a fresher, more accessible and enjoyable reader experience. You can access your digital copy via your member area or you can 'opt in' to continue receiving a print copy - the choice is yours.

Proudly brought to you by our Platinum Partner, Active Tree Services, The Bark is produced quarterly and features research papers and articles that cater for the whole industry. Our content covers urban, utility and practicing arboriculture streams, as well as articles for business owners, managers, trainees and tree workers.

There are regular contributions from national and international arb' organisations, and we love to publish home-grown research whenever we can, including papers from our national conference.

More about The Bark

The Bark™ is your member publication and we want to make sure it delivers exactly what you want. You can help us do this by:

  • Providing feedback and suggestions
  • Sharing ideas for articles and letting us know of any research you've seen that you think our readers might be interested in
  • Contributing an article (it's not as scary as you think)
  • Donating photos

Contact us at enquiries@trees.org.au to let us know what you want to do.

If you'd like to contribute an article, contact us first to find our more details. We are happy to help with editing and formatting and don't forget our Style Guide and General Tips for further help.

Thank you for your contribution - we look forward to delivering a better Bark!

The Bark™ is a great opportunity to provide exposure for our sponsors.

Each issue of The Bark includes a 'Thank you to our sponsors' on the back cover, featuring sponsor logos, and in a smaller format inside the front cover.

In addition, each of our sponsors is given an annual opportunity to provide a company article to be published. The content of the article is entirely up to you, the sponsor. You can submit a feature on a new product, highlight a recent achievement or milestone, or you may want to provide a company profile to let our readers know more about you. Don't forget to provide some photos.

The table below summarises article word lengths, submission dates and some other details. Our staff are only too happy to help with editing, formatting and ideas for content, so feel free to contact us - enquiries@trees.org.au.
